About the object database.
Jul 8 2009, 12:41 AM EDT | Post edited: Jul 8 2009, 12:41 AM EDT
Its coming together great.
The only concern I have is locating images for all these objects.
When I have the game I would love to start putting objects into the database however I dont know
how I will aquire the photos needed.
Any suggestions for getting photo's of objects when I get the game?

I think emulation will be a very good option for obtaining screenshots. DeSmuME (at desmume.org, not desmume.com) is the best one I've seen. It's also the one with the best image quality I've seen.

I don't endorse emulation for any other reason, though.
I will personally disembowel anyone who has a Scribblenauts ROM, but has not at the very least ordered the game.

It was at one point mentioned that there may be a Prima guide (as insane as that seems). If such a guide exists, I'd be willing to spring the $20 to get it, then scan in their object index which will hopefully have images, and boom.

Although it will be sad to find out about all the objects that way, <_<

Maybe I'll make someone else get the guide too. THey'll take half the alphabet and I'll take the other half so I can still be surprised :)

Knowing my experience with Prima, they'll make a very useful, indepth guide, but miss a lot of valuable information out. I'd say many objects would stay secret still. :9

For gettinbg pictures iv been stopping vidioes and thye using zapgrab which lets you copy anyting and its compleatly free. The only problem is you can only paste it on microst stuff so you have to put it onto powerpoint and then save it as a picture. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Getting a Guide to this game ruins the whole pupose of the game. I wonder why they would even make one... 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

yes, there is a prima guide. I wonder why anyone would need it for a game like this... probably to find the "obscure" solutions to challenges.

Yea, most definatly. I took a look at it the other day in the local GameStop, and some of the obscure solutions were preety "out there".
