Staritie Questions
Jul 6 2009, 7:20 PM EDT | Post edited: Jul 6 2009, 7:20 PM EDT
Is the proper name for this thing a Starite or Staritie?
Also: Anyone have any video of the staritie being touched by an object. I'm not sure if the staritie can be lassoed, or retrieved by a squirrel or something. Also, where's the footage of someone exploding a nuke and destroying the stage? We can find out if the staritie is destroyed there.

I do believe it was hit by a ninja star at one point. there is no footage of the nuke, we where simply told, I should also note that typing Starite summons a fake one, as does ftw Do you find this valuable?

It's "Starite".

There is a video of the Starite being destroyed, here: http://www.gamesguide.nl/artikel/10435/scribblenauts---gameplay/ (the second video). There's no video of the nuke, unfortunately - it almost certainly takes out the Starite, too.

We saw in the very first Scribblenauts video that the Starite is affected by physics, when it was knocked down with a football. We don't know if ropes can be tied to it, but it probably be grabbed by NPCs.

Yeah, writing "Starite" will give you a fairly useless plastic Starite. Except in the level editor, where you're given the options "plastic" and "level editor". Presumably the "level editor" one is used to place the real end-level Starite.

Am I missing something here? The object is called "Staritie" all over this guide. What's up with that?

I've started changing the word "Staritie" to "Starite" in the guide. I'm not even remotely done, but I'll try to have fixed them all within a week or so.

At first I wanted to wait and discuss this with the rest of you, especially the one who's been writing "Staritie" all over the place, but I decided that wouldn't be necessary, as the spelling "Staritie" is provably wrong:

"Scribblenauts Starite" generates 2250 Google results.

"Scribblenauts Staritie" generates 5 Google results. 3 of which are from this site.

I cleaned up a few pages just now, and it looks like we're already done. A search for "Staritie" is only giving results to pages that are already fixed now. Do you find this valuable?

It could be useful in the level editor if you want to make a level where you have to find the real one. And everywhere else it's probably useless, maybe you can throw it or stuff... Do you find this valuable?

I read about a player who stuck glue to the end of a (stick-like object) and swung the stick to the starite and it glued to the stick. Also I'm wondering if you are capable of putting some kind of force field around you and the starite and then bomb the whole stage... Do you find this valuable?

If that was possible, screamingshrimp, then the game would be way too easy. Do you find this valuable?

The starite can indeed be brought in by a lasso or fishing pole (and probably other tools of a similar nature). And while you could glue a stick to it, it's usually easier to use a rope, chain, vine, cord, handcuffs, etc. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

How about this? You get a cord, attach it to the girl, attach TNT to the cord, and throw a torch on it! You have an Insta-Terrorist! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Well about the Starite being destroyed Using a nuke(or any other level destroyer)...Yes it does, but it dies at the same time as Maxwell, so the best way to prove this is in level editor. ..I probably posted that late but whatever. Do you find this valuable?
